Little known to the general public, individual operational preparation for employment (POEI) is a training programme financed by France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi) with a permanent contract at the end. As part of a POEI led by QESTIT Academy, you apply for a consultant tester vacancy, join a recruitment process, sign a promise to hire and then start our training to become a tester. At the end of the training, you go straight to your partner company to start your contract.
- How does it work?
The QESTIT Academy is in contact with several companies looking to recruit new testers. It then initiates a recruitment process with jobseekers. After a three-way interview between you, the companies looking for you and France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi), they decide whether you are eligible. After 3 months' training, you'll be hired on a permanent contract!
- Who initiates the process?
POEIs are generally initiated by the training organisation or by companies wishing to recruit, so stay tuned! However, you can initiate them yourself by contacting your France Travail advisor. He or she will be able to direct you to the POEI that match your profile.
- Will I really be hired after the training course?
Of course! One of the main conditions for financing the training is that you are hired on a permanent contract. The company therefore undertakes to welcome you on its premises at the end of the training. You must, of course, have successfully completed the training for the contract to be activated. Similarly, all the conditions of a permanent contract apply.
- How much will the training cost?
For you, nothing at all. For France Travail, it depends on the course you choose. At the QESTIT Academy, POEIs have a dedicated programme, tailor-made and condensed to make you the testers of tomorrow!
- How long does the course last?
At the QESTIT Academy, we offer a programme that enables you to undergo a complete retraining and learn all the testing professions. The training lasts around ten weeks (about 3 months), so you'll leave ready to start your own business.
- Who can apply for a POEI?
Anyone who is unemployed and registered with France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi) can apply. However, we do recommend that you have a strong interest in, or experience of, the IT professions, which will support your application and help you to better tackle the challenges of this new job.
